About

An independent directory for golf cart owners and the people who fix them.

What this site is

GolfCartHelp helps owners of golf carts and low-speed vehicles find repair providers, understand what is wrong with their cart, and identify parts that fit it. It is a directory and a resource. We do not carry out repairs, we do not employ mechanics, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer.

Where we are today

This is an early build. The directory is not yet populated, quote requests are not open, and no reviews exist. Rather than filling those gaps with sample businesses or invented ratings, the site tells you plainly when something is empty. If you see a claim on this site, it is because we can support it.

How verification is intended to work

Verification will be a review of evidence — business identity documentation and proof of insurance — carried out before a badge is displayed. It is a separate state in our database from billing, and a business physically cannot set it: the database reverts any attempt by a business member to change its own verification status.

A paid subscription never produces a verified badge. If that were possible, the badge would mean nothing. Until the evidence review process exists, no verification badge is displayed on any listing.

How we make money

We intend to earn revenue in four ways, and we would rather be upfront about all four:

  • Provider subscriptions. Repair businesses can pay for wider service coverage, a richer profile, and access to quote requests. A free listing is always available.
  • Qualified quote requests.Routing a customer’s request to providers who cover their area is part of the paid product.
  • Affiliate commission on parts. Disclosed next to any recommendation. See our affiliate disclosure.
  • Advertising on informational pages. If display advertising is introduced, it will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content and will not appear inside safety guidance.

What none of that buys: a better organic position, a verified badge, or the removal of a customer review. Featured placement is available to subscribers and is always labelled as sponsored.

Reviews

When reviews open, businesses will be able to publish one response to a review and nothing else. They will not be able to edit a rating, alter review text, or delete a review — this is enforced by database permissions, not by policy alone. Reviews tied to a completed job through the site will be marked as such.
